Data visualization is more and more present in everyday life because images have an high capacity for synthesis.
We have investigated and developed a methodology for creating databases useful for reading projects. This procedure uses Dynamo for Revit for the constant extraction of information, Google Spreadsheets for the creation of internal and external database models and finally Google Data Studio for the visualization and analysis of databases.
A BIM process puts a data model of a different kind at the center of the work. The informations to be managed are various and can be used in all phases of designing a work. The visualization of the data becomes decisive for a better quality of the job.
The analysis of model data can be carried out in any phase of the project, below we can list some possible solutions:
• CONCEPT PHASE: e.g. study of aread, cash flow;
• PRELIMINARY PHASE: e.g. SLP calculation (Total gross floor area), RAI calculation (aeroilluminanting reports), BIM Coordination, QA/QC;
• CONSTRUCTION PHASE: eg. BIM Coordination, QA/QC, Timing, Cash flow;
• FACILITY MANAGEMENT: e.g. General data;
